Judging for the Nursing Standard Nurse Awards 2012 took place on 10, 11 and 12 January, and finalists were chosen from hundreds of entries. Andrea Spryopolous, President of the Royal College of Nursing and chair of the judging panel, praised the dedication to patient care shown by all the entries. The 22 outstanding final entries were chosen by the panel of nursing experts for their inspirational innovation and commitment to improving the lives of their patients.
The winners in each category will be revealed at an emotive and spectacular awards ceremony that will take place on 22 March 2012 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The evening will end with the announcement of the Nurse of the Year 2012.
Host Angela Rippon will present the awards in front of an audience of finalists, colleagues, friends and family and leading figures in nursing and health care.
