Acosia has been the kindest person I have ever known and the best care coordinator that I have ever had. She has been my father, my mother, my god, my everything and I love her to bits. I am so grateful to her.
Ever since I had been a mental health patient everybody rejected me including my family. I had absolutely nobody and I have derogatory and false information written about me in my nedical notes which scares all the all the nurses and health professionals away and made them distance themselves from me. Acosia looked beyond the notes and gave me a second chance and she was never disappointed. She stomached all my emotional baggage and offered me a shoulder to cry on from my pains. She lent me a listening ear and gave me all the time in the world to talk about my grievances to her. She takes me out for lunch which is my only social outing. I was the first patient that she care coordinated when she garduated as a nurse. I had a traumatic childhood so she went back to do more studies in psychology relating to care for psychiatric patients with childhood trauma. She also went to gain qualifications in counselling as well.. I said to her "all for me"
She is a hard working skilled professional and dedicated. She is the only one that has ever spoken kindly to me. She helped me, she persevered with me and stood by me despite all the challenges that I posed. I used to be sectioned every 4-6 months and since she took over my care, I am spending my 3rd year without hospital admissions and I have completed a university program and various life skills. Thanks to Acosia.
Acosia is a rare gemof a nurse and I believe that she deserves to be recognised.
