About the Nursing Standard Patient's Choice Award

The Patient's Choice Award will be launched in November 2010 and will enable members of the public to nominate a nurse* who they feel has made a real difference in either their health care or that of a loved one.

Entries will be shortlisted by an expert panel of judges which will include the Editor of Nursing Standard and the Managing Director of RCN Publishing. The finalists will be announced through all relevant media channels and the general public will be invited to vote for the nurse* that they think is the most deserving of the award.

Nominators of finalists will be notified if their nurse has been shortlisted for the second stage of judging.

The winner of the Nursing Standard Patient's Choice Award 2011 will be announced at the prestigious Nursing Standard Nurse Awards 2011 ceremony which will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster hotel in London on 28 April 2011.
